ScienceSoft cuts the ribbon in Texas

The professional software development company keeps building up its presence in North America by opening a new office in McKinney, TX, to nurture closer partnerships with clients across the continent.
After the successful launch of a new development center earlier this year, ScienceSoft continues to expand its horizons westwards. The new US office accommodates technical and commercial specialists who will be available for onsite visits as direct flights connect Dallas to 147 US and 29 Canadian cities.
ScienceSoft Inc., which already works with Fortune 500 companies in the USA and Canada to help deliver software solutions for success in banking, healthcare, telecom and retail, is expanding its operations to help technology-driven clients benefit from custom application development, testing, IT security, business intelligence and CRM solutions and services.
The move marks the tech firm’s continuing investment in the North American region, following the 62% growth in the region over the past years. ScienceSoft’s revenue in the USA and Canada jumped from $2 mln to $3.5 mln in the course of 2013-2014, with over 50 challenging projects delivered for such market leaders as eBay, PerkinElmer, IBM, Clearview Solutions and Fotaflo remotely from its offices in Europe.
The Texas office is the latest to be opened by ScienceSoft since the company was founded in 1989. The professional software development company, headquartered in Helsinki, Finland, also operates the development centers in Europe and Vietnam.
The new HQ will be headed up by Mr. Wade Brantley, CEO at ScienceSoft USA. He said: “While ScienceSoft has been providing high quality software development services in the US and Canada for many years, our growth has necessitated firmly putting down roots. Doing so will allow us to serve our clients more effectively while also giving us the ability to expand our portfolio. The US and Canadian markets have a great need for the outstanding services that ScienceSoft brings to the table.”
Texas, sometimes dubbed the “Silicon Prairie”, has been in the spotlight for the region’s booming economy and high concentration of tech-savvy companies from all industries. The town of McKinney is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, situated only 30 mi to the north of Dallas. With 130,000 inhabitants, it has been consecutively ranked second- and third-fastest growing among cities of a comparable size, which makes it a vibrant business and technology hub.
