We first approached ScienceSoft to build us a powerful Microsoft-based Human Resources Information System and Intranet. Being a Microsoft-based business, and seeing as we already relied on Azure AD and Microsoft two-factor in our security framework, it was a no-brainer to find competent Sharepoint developers to develop our existing infrastructure into the system we were after.

We wanted to build a central hub robust enough to handle complex Human Resources change management, streamline our recruitment, employee onboarding and offboarding, and democratize engagement in Squirrel’s company-wide objective and key result framework.

Our new system needed to operate as a profile for staff to seamlessly engage with their employment information, performance metrics and one another as well as connect them to everyday company information, our internal blog, org chart and their usual departmental folders via the Intranet that Sharepoint is configured for out of the box.

Overall, we were looking to improve the Squirrel experience for both managers and employees by putting the right people in the driver’s seat of employee data and workflows. With a 20-year track record and great online reviews, we chose Sciencesoft for the job.

We relied on them to bring functionality and form to our scope, filling in the blanks with their development experience in this space. When challenges arose, they problem-solved and elicited maximum potential with every system improvement.

Ultimately, they took this project to heights I never expected it to reach by incorporating the Manager edit functionality into the front-end of the employee profile system, streamlining all sides of employee life-cycle change management.
