iOS App for Remote Video Surveillance

Client

A leading provider of Video Management System software based in Finland, the company operates through sales offices on all continents in cooperation with leading security service providers, distributors and system integrators.

Challenge

The Client came to ScienceSoft to design, develop and implement an app for iOS mobile devices that could be used to remotely monitor property via surveillance cameras. To operate the app should use Client’s video recording software, which can be downloaded from the website.

Solution

ScienceSoft designed and developed a complete solution supported by iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad devices that allows users to view live and playback cameras send images via e-mail and change settings such as locks or lights.

In order to use own surveillance setup, user needs to install Client’s video recording software for his server which can be downloaded for free trial and purchased afterwards.

Results

The Client received a complete solution that provides mobile camera monitoring services and promotes Client’s video recording software. The solution is suitable for industrial video systems and is especially applicable to the video systems of stores, organizations, banks and other businesses.
