Andrei started practicing his programming knowledge while still studying for his Bachelor’s degree. During the last two university years, he worked as a Java developer for a mid-sized IT provider of automated business solutions. In 2005, he joined ScienceSoft’s mobile team.
Developing Java software for mobile devices since the early 2000s, Andrei was able to witness the evolution of the mobile Java technology and the emergence of Android OS firsthand. Working at ScienceSoft, he participated in over 40 mobile projects, lending his skills first as a lead developer, then as a system architect and – from 2011 – as a project manager.
One of the key projects that Andrei both designed the architecture for and managed is the development of Viber messenger for Android. He also supervised the development of an award-winning mobile banking app and an Android version of a text-to-speech travel app that was ranked as #1 Education App in Google Play stores of over 10 countries.
Andrei became the Head of Android Development in 2014 and now manages ScienceSoft’s most significant Android development projects. He grows company’s expertise in Android-related technologies and willingly shares his knowledge with the readers of ScienceSoft’s blog.
Mobile technology is “the now”, but to truly satisfy customers, we should always take our apps a few steps into the future.
