Partner Portal for a US Nationwide Wireless Service Provider
About Our Client
The Client is a US mobile operator and wireless internet provider.
Challenge
The Client had over 1,000 active agents to promote their products and services across the US. They wanted to uphold the quality of cooperation with existing agents and significantly expand their agent network.
The Client placed great value on their agent relationships and required a convenient solution to provide the best possible support for their numerous agents, make it easier and faster to do business with them, and nurture partnerships with new agents. Thus, the Client was looking for a partner to undertake the implementation and support of such a solution.
Solution
The Client commissioned ScienceSoft, a provider of web portal development services, to develop their new digital workspace to conveniently manage all aspects of the partnerships that were important to both the Client and their agents. ScienceSoft’s dedicated team developed such a workspace in the form of a web partner portal. Among the pivotal portal features, the team implemented:
- Aggregating information about agents and their organizations.
- Collecting and processing information about agents’ productivity (customers, orders, transactions, and sales).
- Calculating and reviewing agent commissions and bonuses of different types.
- Processing commission payments.
As the portal was intended to serve as a knowledge hub for the agents, ScienceSoft’s team built the relevant functionality to enable the agents to stay up-to-date on the Client’s products and services, check corporate news and announcements. The portal provided structured centralized storage with the convenient search for marketing & sales videos and presentations, product manuals and recorded tutorials, as well as the Client’s reports eligible for sharing (e.g., marketing reports, performance reports), customer forms, and more.
To automatically populate the portal with information about the agents and their activities, sales, and customers, it was integrated with the Client’s CRM/ERP system.
After implementation, ScienceSoft continued with the portal evolution. We added new features based on the user feedback provided by the Client representatives and customized the portal for agent groups, who had different organizational structures and were subject to different commission rules.
Results
The partner portal helped the Client simplify and streamline the communication with the existing agents and made the company even more attractive in terms of collaboration for new agents.
