Serge started an IT career in 2017 after 15 years of managing his own digital business. He embarked on his career in IT as a Business Consultant and Project Manager with already gained proficiency in effective business communication, modeling and analyzing complex business processes, and practical knowledge in supply chain management.
In 2020, Serge decided to shift his focus to business analysis and IT consulting and joined ScienceSoft as a Business Analyst and IT Consultant. He had hands-on project management experience in complex software development projects under his belt, which helped him in the new domain. During his work as Business Analyst at ScienceSoft, Serge investigated clients’ needs and business processes, identified pain points and optimization opportunities, and employed high-level business analysis practices to design advanced IT solutions that bring strategic advantages and high ROI. As IT Consultant, Serge specialized in the supply chain management domain and helped ScienceSoft’s clients digitally transform different supply chain management processes, from warehouse management to logistics planning and inventory optimization.
One of Serge's projects involved the development of software products for inventory management and experiment management in the biochemical and pharmaceutical industries. Serge elicited requirements not only from the Client but also from one of the products’ end users – a global pharmaceutical enterprise having 45,000+ employees and operating in 150+ countries. This ensured that the products covered a full scope of essential features for users while accounting for relevant industry specifics. Also, Serge participated in designing software components to smoothly integrate the developed products into the supply chain software ecosystems of end users.
Serge continuously monitors tech trends, needs, and challenges in the digital supply chain market to increase his expertise in the domain. When working at ScienceSoft, Serge conducted regular knowledge sharing with different departments and mentored BA team newcomers.
I believe that a successful supply chain digitalization initiative should start with an in-depth analysis and precise planning of the integration of a company’s supply chain strategy with its overall business strategy. This step ensures each particular feature in the future supply chain solution will benefit the company.
