Results of the seminar Information Security Management and Compliance with International Standards: interest in information security is growing

April 4, 2012. ScienceSoft in cooperation with IBM and headtechnology held a seminar on “Information Security Management and Compliance with International Standards”.

The seminar was attended by over 40 representatives from various business sectors and government agencies, including banks, telecom operators, fuel-energy companies and other organizations.

The event covered such topics as information security audit in IT, IBM strategy in the field of information security, as well as the possibilities of QRadar – the flagship of IBM in the field of information security and event management – was demonstrated to a wide range of business representatives. Topic of the seminar received a wide response among the audience and sparked heated discussion.

Ulad Radkevitch, director of marketing and business development at ScienceSoft: The workshop has shown that information security becomes a priority for big business and a number of state agencies. Initially, we hoped for 30 participants. Nevertheless, a few days before the seminar the number of registrations exceeded 60. The level and intensity of discussions among the participants indicates that the leadership of organizations recognized the need of investment in information security for sustainable development and business growth.
